Parking Lot Tree

Oil on panel, 16 x 12 inches (41 x 30.5 cm)

We are painting at a shopping center in Walt Bartman's class and this lonely little tree caught my eye. Walt had earlier shown us slides of paintings by other artists and I had Wolf Kahn's work in mind as I decided to make the tree pink and the tarmac parking lot orange.
