On display at Strathmore Mansion

Oil on canvas, 12 by 12 inches

This painting is in the Members Show at Strathmore Hall, through April 10.

The participating artists were asked to write an explication of the thought process involved in the creation of their pieces. Here is mine:

"Cool light sweeps in from an off-stage window in back and mingles with warm lamp light emanating from stage left. In an attempt to bring something new to an old subject, I thought of the apples as performers on a stage with one or two 'stars' placed up front in the spotlight, and made to sing."
