The Falling Strap

Oil on wood, 12 x 12 inches (31 x 31 cm)

In an utterly charming way this woman's dress strap kept sliding down as she posed, so eventually she just left it off her shoulder.

I may use this as the basis for a larger painting. To me it almost seems that lurking behind this image is a tale of romance, or a dream of love.

I was at the Philadelphia art museum yesterday, saw Daniel Garber's "Tanis" -- it reminded me of your work!

Well, the choice of subject matter is definitey close in this case. His landscapes are not only beautiful but distinctly his own vision, I think.
