Jody, sort of...
Oil on linen, 16 x 12 inches (41 x 31 cm)
This is not a great likeness of my sister, Jody, but the painting has a soft quality I like, and the mixture of warm and cool colors in the skin tones is effective, I think. The translucent skin of white people enables the blue, unoxygenated blood in their veins to effect the skin color, it seems. More work on this painting is upcoming.
