Olga of Baltimore, via Russia

Last night I went to an open studio at a new venue for me, the Zoll School of Fine Arts. It turns out to be a really good open studio, run by people who really know about figure painting, who know how to pose and light the model and equip the space. The main drawback for me is the distance I have to travel to get there, but that may not stop me from going.

This painting does not do justice to the lovely model, Olga. She will be continuing to pose for a number of weeks, so maybe I will eventually succeed in capturing her appearance.
