Jim Portrait



The color in this photo is not accurate but the painting has an aqua blue background. I was copying what Rob Liberace does with some of his paintings, starting with a cool, grayish-blue background against which the warm reds and yellows of the flesh tones contrast nicely.

Hey George,

I have following your blog right along. I just have recently obtained a word press ID, and up until now wasn't able to comment. Your work is great! I appreciate that now and then you show some of your older work next to newer...I see how the newer work has these lost and found edges and how you connect in and out of the background to figure with color, value, etc..
