A Woman called Kenyatta

Kenyatta was named after Jomo Kenyatta, the founder of the independent country of Kenya, where I lived for a while as a boy. In fact, it was in a secondary school art class there where I first became interested in art.

This painting came out pretty well, especially considering that I was working with very dim light on the canvas. The shadows would have been darker and stronger if  I'd had better light.
