Oatlands-The Big House

Got here too late to resume work on the painting started two weeks ago (my first blog post) because the sun would not have been right, so I did this one. The dark spot on the horizon is Sarah in an Adirondack chair. We bumped into Alejandra the model in a sandwich shop in Leesburg and Sarah assured me that she doesn't look ANYTHING like the person in my paintings- but I think I already admitted that, didn't I!? 12 x 16, oil on board
