Angel, after Thayer

I am copying the famous painting, Angel by Abbott Handerson Thayer. Even though the head is the only part of the painting anywhere near completion, this is may be as far as I go. The process has been quite instructive. It's one thing to look closely at a painting hanging in a museum and quite another to examine it with the intense gaze of a copyist.
